 Sometimes my lips are (gasp!) glossy!

Many of the “steering” for ladies 40+ that i find the most nonsensical, the no-lip-gloss rule ranks excessive. 


I really like how beauty poobahs will let you know in one breath how you may’t put on matte lipstick due to the fact older lips are drier lips and you may get creases, however you can’t put on lip gloss because being moist and vibrant is for the younger? 


I do not have the time to locate simply the proper “appropriate” factor on the shine-to-matte spectrum, i buy lip merchandise that make my lips sense moisturized and are available high-quality hues i like (even loud ones). 



 


I wear exciting and outstanding hues on my every so often long-ish fingernails.

Similar to the idea that women 40+ shouldn’t put on chokers because they draw attention to the neck, and god knows we can’t have that, conventional information states that your nail filing draws interest to palms, and we don’t need that both. 


Allow me see if i can listing the places we don’t want to attract interest to … our necks, our palms, our legs, our lips, our cleavage … 


I switched to pastel nail polishes like mild green, light blue, and light crimson. On occasion i even wear one of a kind hues on different nails as it’s a laugh and i really like it. 


The rationale in most of the above instances is that no longer following the guidelines results in drawing interest to regions that might show our age, and our age is, notably else, something to hide. Without a doubt, i think there are  other matters i possess that display my age more than my arms or neck, particularly my knowledge and my utter lack of f***s to present if you may inform I'm past 40, 50, and that I'm certain while the time comes, 60 too.
